As Ronald Stoops was born in one of the smallest countries in the World, the Netherlands, he decided early on in life to travel extensively in order to broaden his view of the world.
He studies photography in Antwerp, and quicly became the photographer readily associated with fashion phoductions by the Antwerp Six +: Walter Van Beizendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marine Yee & Martin Margiela – after which the next generations of Antwerp fashion designers followed suit quite naturally: Furgi Persoons, Raf Simons, AF Vandevorst, Veronique Branquinho…
He has worked on editorials for magazines such as, Self Service, i-D, Dazed & Confused, V and A Magazine, Voque Hommes International, Purple Fashion, View and Colous,….
His love for art and photography have merged into presentations at international group and single exhibitions such as Screenworlds – Brussels, Deep Gallery – Tokyo, Galerie Triangle – Bordeaux, Unit F – Vienna…
Lately he has a number of outgoing art venues with Antje Krogt, Michael Dans and Narcisse Tordoir.
Ronal Stoops and his wife, Inge Grognard, make-up artist, live in Antwerp and often work together as a team.
